Cruise to Silver Bay *****
Saturday, August 9th, 2008
Join us for a group cruise to Silver Bay Marina. Weather
permitting, we plan to leave at 0900 hrs on Saturday, with a captain’s
meeting at 0800 hrs in the clubhouse at Port Superior Marina.
It’s about 34 nautical miles from Port Superior to Silver Bay
Marina, traveling through the West Channel and exiting the islands near
Sand Island. If anyone would like to spend Friday night in
the islands, they can join us out on the lake for the crossing. Let
me know if you intend to do this, so I can get the ‘captain’s
meeting’ info to you ahead of time. Dinner Saturday night
will be at Northern Lights Roadhouse in Beaver Bay, MN. We
plan to return on Sunday, August 10th, but everyone is free to choose
their own date of return. Rates at Silver Bay Marina are $1.50
per foot. We have 5 slips reserved so far.

more information and to reserve a spot. Keep in mind that for slip
reservations at Silver Bay, the earlier the notice, the better!

Our next scheduled event is our yearly meeting
on Saturday, October 4, 2008, the weekend of Applefest. We’ll be discussing
lots of ideas at this meeting, so put the date on your calendar and be
sure to attend!
