Hello to all from your commodore and board!
We are gearing up for the PCKC Winter Party and we’re hoping you
all attend. It should be a great time to catch up with each other
over the winter, not to mention the live music and photo slide show. Be
sure to get some photos in to our treasurer, Jim Beran at jim@rohnind.com to
be included in the show. We’d love pictures -- of you,
your boats, your trips, etc.! Also, if you get a chance to RSVP
it’ll help us in our planning. Thanks!
A special note for the party. Pike’s Bay Marina has offered
to buy a drink of your choice for all those attending the party. Be
sure to pick up your free drink coupon at the welcome table when you
enter. THANK YOU - PIKE’S BAY MARINA for your generosity
to PCKC!!
If it’s not already on your calendar, mark it now! The
party is on/at:
JANUARY
26, 2008 8:00 pm until ?????
WHERE? GREAT WATERS BREWING COMPANY

St. Peter St
St.
Paul, MN

By now you should have all received the December mailing including a
newsletter, renewal notice and party notice. If you didn’t
receive the packet, you are either not on our mailing list, or we have
a bad address for you. If that is the case, contact me at commodore@pckc.org and
we’ll get it corrected. Thanks to those of you who have sent
in your renewals. If you haven’t yet done so and will be
attending the party, we will be taking in renewals and/or new member
applications at that time.
We’ve had some interest from people outside Port Superior Marina
in joining PCKC. If any of you get inquiries, please let them know
our organization is open to EVERYONE, regardless of location. And
you don’t have to be a boat owner or slip owner/renter to join. If
anyone has questions about the organization, you can refer them to any
of the PCKC board members.
After the party, our next scheduled functions are the two PCKC lunches -- on
May 10th and May 17th, both Saturdays. Dave and I have volunteered
to coordinate the first lunch on May 10th, but we are still looking for
volunteers for the May 17th date. Please let us know if you’d
be interested in organizing that lunch. Contact me with questions,
or to VOLUNTEER!
We are still in the planning stages for the rest of the summer. We
appreciate any comments/suggestions you might have and we’ll keep
you posted on events as they are scheduled. One member did
contact us to suggest that we plan some live music on the deck at the
marina during the summer. Sounds like a good idea and we’re
working on it!
If you have other ideas, let us know.
That’s all the news for now. We looking forward to seeing
EVERYONE at the party!
Respectfully, your Commodore, Chris Rine
