From the Commodore
January/February/March 2009
Happy New Year to Everyone.
I don’t have much news – other than IT’S COLD! And I’m jealous of all those members who are in warmer climates!
If you’re looking for Yacht Club Info, check out the previous newsletter on the website, www.pckc.org (October/November, 2008) and you’ll be up to date.
My first goal for this year will be to get our newsletters out by e-mail and then plan the events for the season. The group crossing we did last year was very well received, and it will be on the agenda again this year. As always, we’ll be hosting some lunches during launch week and possibly a lunch during haulout as well. If you have any suggestions, let me know.
Don’t miss the PCKC WINTER PARTYcoming up at the end of the month - see the enclosed flyer for date and time. Any pool sharks may want to sharpen up on their skills, as there may be a spur of the moment tournament to test skill levels! Hope you all can make it. If you are planning on coming and can RSVP it would be greatly appreciated. Contact me at commodore@pckc.org
or at 952-807-8345.
We are still looking for 2009 dues from most of you. The winter party would be a great time to pay! Otherwise, please feel free to send them to Treasurer Jim Beran, at “PCKC” c/o Jim Beran, Shred Right, 862 Hersey St., St. Paul, MN 55114.
That’s it for now. Stay warm and enjoy the snow – or if you’re down south – stay cool and enjoy the sun! I hope to see you all at the Winter Party, and then look forward to boating season in the spring.
Your commodore,
Chris Rine
